Wallden Happy Hour

Wallden happy hour often turns into Wallden slumber party.

Dustin and Tony were present too but

managed to escape all pictures.

They were also smart and went to bed earlier than the rest of us

who stayed up solving our life problems and those of the world.

Pillowcase to Masterpeice

For four days in a row we worked on this painting,

mostly Ava and I but Luca also contributed to a little

splattering of paint and dumping of glitter.

I think it's pretty fabulous.

Yay Potty!

I realize that posts about using the potty may not be

for everyone. If you have kids you can understand the

excitement of a first poop on the potty.

His look in the first picture is so funny;

still partially asleep, sort of bewildered,

proud of a new accomplishment

and a little confused at how excited his momma is right now.

Princess Jasper

The girls had been playing dress up for awhile,

with many fancy costume changes.

Jasper wanted to join the fun. He was not coerced,

he wanted that pretty blue princess dress on and accessorized

with yellow princess shoes,and a tiara of course.

He was happy to be matching the ladies.

Grandma & Grandpa Visit

We got a short visit from Grandma and Grandpa Sunday evening.

The first picture is peeking in on bathroom story time,

Luca wanted to show grandma how he sits on the potty

but only with his pants on.

Flashlight Bedtime Stories

a little fuzzy with the lack of light

but i love these.

there have been a few nights recently where the

kids want to sleep together in ava's bed.

they cuddle, hug and kiss each other

tell one another that they love them

and then actually go to sleep.

makes my heart melt...

and temporarily forget about the times this week

where they have not wanted to play with their sibling,

said something hurtful or straight up clobbered each other.

some days are rough, some days are great.

today was a good day.
