New Year's Eve

We made it out till about 9:30pm New Years Eve. The kids got to play with a good friend (who happened to have a new Buzz Lightyear) and the adults had a few drinks, some bad for you food and quite a few Wii games. Who knew I would be the "Just Dance" champion! Good times.

Play Day

We have spent the entire day indoors today. Normally this would not be ideal but with new toys (and boxes) to play with it was actually fun to just play. No big temper tantrums,

no major fights...amazing.

Merry Christmas!

Good thing Santa knows to come a day late for those who work the night shift!

It was an absolutely prefect morning. The kids were spoiled with gifts. Luca was so happy with "Big Woody" that he was barely interested in opening any more presents. Luckily Ava liked to open them all. Ava was excited by several new Dora toys, especially Dora's magic crystals. Apparently she put these in a special place and they have been missing for two days now.

It was great day.

Christmas Cards

Some lucky family members and friends received the special cards with Ava's drawings of Santa and Christmas Trees. (yes, the above picture is Santa) She got bored by the project after about 15 minutes so sorry we didn't decorate them all. What a funny little girl!

Ava LOVES swinging on the rope...Luca wants to do everything his big sister does and tried several times. He held on pretty well, not too bad for not even two years old.

Snow Day

Holy Snow!

Today is going much better than it started out...without power for a few hours in the middle of the night. We were nervous but lights on now and the furnace is blowing. We have an electrical wire dangling very low in the backyard but it's at the bottom of the MG&E priority list with over a thousand without power this morning. Ick.

Dustin spent over an hour shoveling this morning and made it to work without any problems. There is no way my little car will make it out, our street is rarely plowed before evening time.

The kids got outside and had a blast for about 20 minutes before mittens fell off and snow got in the boots. We're staying in PJs all day, watching movies and hopefully a nice long nap for all. I'm jealous of my siblings who both have Snow Days today and thinking that nurses should get snow days too. It's not that hard to have a home birth...come on ladies.

We know whenever Francie is around we can relax and the kids will be in good hands and having a blast.

Congratulations and good luck to Hannah who we raised our glasses to last night, we are so excited for you and can't wait to hear about your adventures!!!
