Door County

First camping trip with the kids - mostly a sucess! We went to Penninsula State Park where we shared a beautiful group site with some friends. The first two days were great; Luca was a fan of throwing large rocks and putting sticks in the fire and Ava's favorite things were hanging in the tent and sitting in her camping chair. The third day was cold, rainy, windy and the kids were crabby. We tried to hang in there but in the end crappy weather with kids camping sent us packing up in the rain and making it back to Madison at 11pm. I'm thinking that we'll try again next summer but for this fall we'll stick to the cabin.

They slept the whole way home and for a few hours even after that!

A ride in the row boat, an attempt to fit in the small sleeping "hole", hanging of another red disc swing, admiration of the crazy amount of work that's been done and a can of Hamms to finish up the day and tell Matti funny stories about when we were little...it's was a good day!
